Potassium Overkill - Banana Snub

About this mod

Bring a banana to a gunfight. Replaces the standard Snub pistol with a detailed curved banana and natural peel materials while retaining normal damage, ammunition, firing sounds, weapon logic and HUD icon. The original gun body is hidden. v0.1.1 targets Steam build 25922417 and preserves the patch’s current Snub blueprint changes. The accepted banana geometry, textures and visual design are unchanged. Offline archive, native-container and byte-preservation checks passed. Post-patch gameplay and Vortex deployment remain unverified. Historical v0.1.0 campaign footage on build 25724756 showed the banana attached during walking, aiming, firing, reloads and holstering, with firing resuming after reload. These were visual spot checks, not a full campaign/animation audit. All skins, upgrades and cinematic/NPC variants remain unverified.

Install & remove

1. Close E-Day. Download the main v0.1.1 ZIP and extract it. 2. Steam > E-Day > Manage > Browse local files. Open FairlightConcept\Content\Paks and create ~mods if needed. 3. Back up any old BananaSnub_P trio. If a mod manager controls the old copy, disable it and deploy first. 4. Copy ALL THREE matching files directly into FairlightConcept\Content\Paks\~mods: BananaSnub_P.pak, BananaSnub_P.utoc and BananaSnub_P.ucas. Keep their filenames; never mix releases or overwrite original pakchunk files. 5. Launch normally through Steam and equip the standard Snub in campaign. The separate manual-guide download contains instructions only. To update, close the game and replace all three together. To uninstall, remove only these three files from ~mods. Restore a backed-up matching trio to roll back. Leave unrelated mods alone. Use one Snub replacement at a time. If the normal gun remains, restart and check placement, build and default Snub appearance. A mod manager must deploy the trio into ~mods; live Vortex deployment is unverified. No special launch options or bypass are included.

Requirements

Gears of War: E-Day, Steam PC Windows build 25922417. Standard Snub, single-player campaign intended. Voice language independent. Game Pass, online/anti-cheat, alternate skins and upgrades unverified. No other mod required.
